The nightlife of Cusco is definitely the most exciting and fun of Peru. Here there are many bars, discotheques and nightclubs, where you can spend the night and meet people from the entire planet; since the majority of foreign visitors leave at night looking for entertainment. In Cusco you can find people from United States, Europe, Asia and South America; all together dancing in the same place. Although, the city is inundated with foreign visitors the bars and discos aren’t other “Gringo land” outposts. Many local people from Cusco and Lima as well as other South Americans are part of the clientele.


Cusco at Night

Most of bars in the city opens from 11 am to 2 am, the discos open from 8 or 9 pm to 4 or 5 am.

 

The beer is the most popular drink in the city. In Peru there are several beer brands like Cristal, Pilsen or Brahma; but the best beer is “Cerveza Cusqueña” one of the best in the World. The “Pisco” is the national liquor, nevertheless most of bars and clubs offer also whisky, ram, vodka, gin, and many cocktails.


The most of bars and discos are in the downtown of the city near the “Plaza de Armas”. Some nice places are:

 

Fallen Angel

 

It is a very nice bar and restaurant, where it can eat the best steak of Cusco and enjoy delicious drinks in middle of a crazy ambience. It is located at 221 “Plaza Nazarenas” in the Downtown.

Caos

 

This is one of the best clubs in Cusco. It has a excellent dance floor, nice music and good drinks; it is located at 948 “Sol” avenue.


Muki

 

It is a famous disco in Cusco, there you can find an agreeable environment and good music, it is located at 14 “Santa Catalina Angosta” (at one of the corners of the “Plaza de Armas”).


Cross Key Pub

 

It is a typical British pub full of American and European tourists, it is decorated with football items and there are also several pull tables. There are good food and drink, but it is some expensive. It is located at 233 “Portal Confiturías” second floor.


Garabato

 

It is a popular place amongst the adult people (between 25 and 35 years), it has a stage and a big screen, besides sometimes there is life music. Garabato has a small but cool dance floor. It is located at 135 “Espaderos” Street, second floor.

 

VSP

 

It is a great bar located at 106 “Sol ” avenue inside  the third floor of “La Merced” gallery in the Downtown very near of the “Plaza de Armas”. It has a great screen, good music and excellent drinks. The prices are a few expensive but the place is very nice.

 

Top Coffee

 

It is a nice Café located in the “Plazoleta Espinar” inside the former building of the “Hotel Cusco” in front to “La Merced” convent. In this place you will be able to enjoy a delicious cappuccino served by beautiful waitresses who are the main attraction of the place.


UkuKus

 

It is one of the most popular clubs in Cusco, it attracts a nice mixture of foreign travelers and local people. Usually there is life music since 11 pm. The club owns a great dance floor and good DJs that play a nice selection of music including rock, pop, salsa and trans. It is located at 316 “Plateros” street, second floor.
