Antigua Nightlife
Antigua is a city full of Spanish’s Schools (over 70) therefore there is a great quantity of foreign people mainly young that always are looking for fun. Then the city offer many bars and discos to attend this demand, clubs like:
“Monoloco”, this sport bar and restaurant has a great atmosphere and service, besides, the people is very friendly, it is the perfect place to go at night, there is also good food and excellent beer. This club is located at Nº5a “Sur 6” avenue.
Another place is the “Onyx” Bar which is situated at Nº7 “Norte 2” avenue next to the ruins of a former church. The club has two floors, a great dance floor and a cool atmosphere, besides at night you can enjoy of the beautiful view of the Church’s ruins.
A place very popular amongst tourists is “Ricky’s”, a bar and restaurant, which has a patio with some tables and chairs; besides, it has also a dance floor and some areas where you can meet people of the entire world.
The Sky Cafe is a peculiar place in Antigua where you can enjoy a drink on a roof top and watch the sunset. From the deck you can view the volcanoes and the surrounding valley. It is located at “1a Sur” avenue.
But if you like the music from 70s and 80s, “Personajes” bar and restaurant is a cool place. The site has many television screens to watch videos of Rolling Stones, The Doors, Toto , Madona, etc. The place is mixed with local and tourist people, besides there are a great variety of drinks and food. This place is located at Nº6 “6a Norte” avenue.
There are many others places where to go in the city like "Naughty Angels", “Chimeneas”, “Casbah Disco” or “Café Kafka”. Almost all bars and discos are around the main Square (Plaza Mayor) and play Latin rhythms like “Salsa”, “Merengue” and “Regaeton”. Usually you can come as you are no dress code.
