Galeria del Colibri (Humminbird Gallery)
This gallery exhibits photographs of Patricia and Michael Fodge. Both are biologists and write for National Geographic. Besides, you can find paints of local artists and many handcrafts. The gallery’s gardens houses some hummingbirds which explain the name of the place.

Montverde Institute
This educational organization was created in 1986 and your scope is the research of the sustainable management of resources for it, the Institute collaborates with similar organizations from all the world. Besides the organization support many local development initiatives including participation in the municipal planning commission and efforts for to support ecotourism, forest protection, and health water.
The institute manages the John and Doris Campbell Library which saves an important collection of books, articles and magazines. The institute also operates the wireless computer network, an auditorium with video/computer facilities and 40 acres of cloud forest in the Monteverde Reserve.
The Montverde Institute also offers courses like agro-ecology, public health, tropical biology, sustainable design and community planning and others. Likewise the institute has a full meteorological department which is equipped with last technology. This department is dedicated to monitor the climate mainly in the Monteverde Reserve whose ecosystem is very fragile and depends on the weather so much.
The Montverde Institute is situated next to Monteverde Cheese Factory, to 3 Km to Cloud Forest Reserve and opens from Monday to Friday between 8:00 and 17:00.
The Museum of Monteverde History
This museum owns a collection of historical photographs including some of Quakers who founded Montverde in the 1950s besides the interesting exhibition about the geological history of Central American. The museum also has a sample of the native tribes that populate this zone. In addition there are a hall dedicated to the modern biologists and conservationists.
Megs Terrace Gallerry and Gifts
This a gallery and shop of local handcrafts like stained glass, slumped glass, jewels, candeles, t-shirts and others.
Casa de Arte (Art house Gallery)
In this place there is a big collection of paint made by local artists as almost art in Monteverde the forest and the local fauna are the main source of inspiration both pieces of art to the gallery architecture. This place opens daily from 10:00 to 18:00
Atmosphera Art Gallery
This gallery is dedicated mainly to the wood sculpture. The best sculptors of Costa Rica expose their works here. The most works of art are inspired by the Nature that surround them. Many of the pieces are made with recycled wood following the “eco-trend” of Monteverde. The gallery opens daily from 9:00 to 18:00.
