Mercado Municipal de Heredia (Municipal Market)
The market is situated 3 blocks to southwest side of “Parque Central”. In this typical market you can find a great variety of products mainly fresh provisions, besides there are a lot of typical meals. The number of butcher’s shops is really impressive. Shopping in this place is a good experience.
Mall “Paseo de las Flores”
This mall was opened in 2004 and has a whole area of 67603 m2 with 189 stands.It offers a great variety of products like male and female clothes, jewelry, sport products, pharmacy, library, records store, etc and services like fast food, cinema, banks, parking roofing, wireless internet and others.
The fast food restaurants include Burger King, KFC, Subway, Panda Chinese, Burger Factory and MacDonald’s. But if you want to dinner quietly, then also there are excellent restaurants of international food like “Inca Grill” (Peruvian Food) or “Los Antonitos” (Mexican Food) in addition to Italian and Japanese food.
The mall opens from Monday to Saturday from 10:30 to 21:00. and Sundays from 11:00 to 20:00.
Marroquinerias del Rio
It is an ancient factory which produces a great variety of leather articles like purses, belts, wallets and handbags. Besides buying you can also do tour for the factory and to see how the products are manufactured. There are tours specially organized for shopping in this place.
Mall la Ribera
This mall is located in "San Antonio de Belen" near “Ojo de Agua” and such as “Paseo de las Flores” mall. This other also has got a variety of products and services.
