Beaches in Flamingo Beach

The area of Flamingo beach (Guanacaste province) is surrounded for a great number of beautiful beaches. Here it shows a selection of the more important.

Playa Negra

The beach owns good waves; so it is a natural place for surfing. The beach is located in northwestern zone of Guanacaste. There are good hotels, restaurants and Cafes but there isn’t public transportation, you must rent a car or get someone lead.

Playa Nosara

This beach is located in Nicoya and is part of the Ostional Wildlife Refuge. The beach is surrounded for mangroves. The beach is  an ideal place for swimming since sea water is heated by the sun thanks to rocky pools that forms the tide.

Playa Ocotal

This beach is a great place for snorkeling and swimming since the water at the beach is very clear and quiet .Ocotal is a sandy beach  protected by hills and cliffs of sedimentary rocks. It is located around 40 Km of Liberia. This beach offers you daily 9 hours of sun during dry season (from December to April) and 4 or 5 in rainy season. The Ocotal beach is definitely a great experience.

Playa Panama

This beautiful beach is located near Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia city. “Playa Panama” is an inner bay beach with beautiful blue waters. It is surrounded by a tropical forest that creates a perfect atmosphere for those who look for quiet and peace. The beach has many hotels, luxury resorts and restaurants. Another attraction in the place is the “Rocha” estuary with its mangrove swamp.

Playa Potrero

It is situated in a bay in the Guanacaste province around 5 minutes from Playa Flamingo. Its waters are warm and quiet. An advantage of this beach is that is not crowded with tourist as Playa Flamingo or Tamarindo. Sunsets here are very romantic.

Playa Samara

This tropical beach is known for its superb coral reef. The place is very popular amongst swimmers and windsurfers. Coming from Daniel Oduber International Airport it will take 2 hours to arrive. Actually Samara is the beach most accessible in the Guanacaste province. Is an ideal place for swimming, fishing and dolphin watching which offers a great number of hotels, restaurants and excellent discos.

Playa Tamarindo

This place is the most popular beach in Costa Rica and was a fishing town before arrived of tourists. Since is the most popular, the beach has a great number of hotels, restaurants, bars, discos and all the comforts for spend some relax days.
