Cordoba Sports
Only a few kilometers away from Córdoba City, tourists can go on quad excursions, mountain bike rides or practice paragliding in one of the most beautiful regions of Argentina. The sport fishing and the hunting almost are very popular in Cordoba.
The city offers others sports more exciting like rally car and motocross, in addition to soccer, tennis, volleyball, basketball, polo and others.
Sport Fishing
Sport fishing is very popular in Cordoba and there are numerous lakes and rivers, in where it can fish a wide variety of species like trout, carp, pejerrey and dorado. The rivers are ideal for the fishing with fly because the weather is wonderful all the yea and the rivers have clean, fresh and clear waters.
Rally car
The Argentine stage of the World Rally Championship has not been run far from the city since 2004, but the Cordoba's rally was part of him and its super primes are still a true challenge for the pilots of all the world. Competitors like C. Sainz, T Makinen, D. Auriol, j. Kankunen has gained this difficult competition. Besides, Cordoba hosts every year rallys which are part of the Argentine and South American Championships.
Motocross
The Cordoba's tracks of motocross are the best of the country, in them several competitions of the Argentine national championship are doing every year.
Soccer (Futbol)
Like in the rest of Argentina futbol is the most popular sport.The more popular team of the city is "Talleres de Cordoba". This club was founded in 1913. Actually the team play in the second division of Argentina. Some others teams are Instituto, Belgrano and Racing.
Basketball
This is the second most popular sport of the city and "Asociacion Deportiva Atenas" is the most popular and successful club. The team won 7 times the National League and 3 times the South American League. Many players of the Argentine national team that won the gold medal in Atenas 2004, played in this important club.
