There is no gay village in Cordoba; the gay scene is less than in Buenos Aires and it is scattered around the city. But the people almost is open-minded and There are some gay places in the city .




Argentina gay community is very lively and active, especially in Buenos Aires and other big cities like Cordoba. Gay life is improving with the public discussion about homosexuality in the last 10 years. The gay liberation movement is championed by the "Comunidad Homosexual Argentina".

There is a law in Capital Federal that permits a same-sex couple to enter into a civil partnership. Gays are starting to live on their own instead of conforming to the national norms of singles living at home until married. On the other hand, the church and politician still believe that the homosexuality is abnormal. Under this law gay and straight couples are entitled to have the same benefits and right of a normal couple.

On March 2007 Cordoba was seat of the "gay and lesbian audio visual-arts festival"; this event shows the new role of gays and lesbians in the Cordoba society. This role is so great and every year grows more. They are more the Cordoba citizen that leave out closet.
