Weather in Moscow


Moscow is located in the centre of the East-Europe; therefore the city has a continental climate, generally dry and mild. The highest temperatures are around 22ºC (72ºF) during the months of July and August in the summer.

The Russian winter is definitely one of the hardest in the world; during this period, which lasts between December and March the temperatures reach usually -12 ºC (10ºF).
The annual rainfall rate is 578 mm (23 inches), it rains mainly between April and October; the city has little rainfalls; since most of precipitations are snow. The height of the snow reaches 35 cm (around 14 inches) at the end of winter.
The atmospheric pressure is 747 mm almost all the year and the relative humidity varies between 80 and 90%.
