Faro Nightlife

Faro is not a big city; therefore, nightlife is not very exciting. But, there are many places where to spend a great night. The main entertainment points of Faro are located along “Rua do Prior”, which is the most animated zone of the city. There, it can find a great number of pubs, Cafes and nightclubs, where the rock is the predominant musical rhythm. Most bars and clubs in Faro open since 22:30 until dawn.

A nice place to start the night is without doubt “Upa Upa Café Bar”, a excellent place located at 51 “Rua Conselheiro Bivar”. This bar receives daily many visitors and local people. It is very spacious and is opened from 21:00 to 4:00.

Other good bar is "Nordic"; this place was inaugurated in 2006. The main features of this bar are the live shows of jazz and the free internet. Besides, there are DJs, playing several kinds of music like rock or punk. It is located at 78000 “Rua do Capitao-mor”.

Another meet point near Faro is the “Montechoro Strip” in Albufeira, which is around 30 minutes from Faro. This is one of the liveliest zones of the province, also known as “strip”. There are many cafes, bars, restaurants and discos along 2 Km. It highlights the “Fado” shows (Portuguese music), the most typical expression of art in Portugal.

• Rock’n Bowl, at "Algarve" Shopping.

• The Red Eye Bal, good bar at 63 “Rua Candido dos Reis”.

• Wilds & Co, at "Areais de Sao Joao", in "Albufeira".

• Zanzibar, nice bar with excellent music and good drinks, at “Rua 25 de Abril”.
