Portuguese Courses in Salvador da Bahia
The Method
The first action that we do, it is to listen to our students, and to know what they want to learn, thus, our objective is to develop your practical communicative abilities in the Portuguese language. To begin, we talk and speak, in courses that require high degree participation from our learners, speaking and practicing as much as possible. We achieve this aim using structural grammar exercises, including verbal and grammar replication, simulation of real life situations, compression lessons based on written and spoken text or radio broadcasts as well as using current affair texts.
In the school also you can learn both the Portuguese language and Brazilian culture, those can be learned inside and outside of the classroom, inside with socio-cultural thematic approach, aspiring to bring you into contact with Brazil. And outside of the classroom we offer to the students different activities to learning the idiom, such as field trips to places of cultural interest, visiting markets, or socio-cultural institutions. And for the student won’t forget the learned, they will practice afterwards in various creative task-based activities to fix the information in your long term storage, and make the learning a permanent part of you.
The teaching is personalized, and the level of knowledge is determined in test, for to help more and teaching better, in the difficulty of our learners, and the class is formed by small groups with students of the same level.
The Levels
Our school has five levels that are offered to students, in concordance to their necessities, each one taught by longest experience teachers.

Description |
Beginner
(Iniciante I) |
For Students that hasn’t knowledge of the language, they learn to understand basic instructions, basic factual conversation, complete basic forms, write notes including times, dates and places. |
Elementary
(Iniciante II) |
In this level the student can use simple sentences and vocabulary; the student will learn to express simple opinions or requirements in a familiar context, understand straightforward information, and will able to fill out simple forms and write postcards and letters with limited details. |
Lower Intermediate
(IntermediárioI) |
The student can answer simple questions and can read short text with simple vocabulary, and also he/she will learn to express opinions on abstract/cultural matters in limited way or offer advice, and will understand instructions or public announcement. The student will be able to write letters or make notes on familiar or predictable matters and can make notes while someone is talking. |
Upper Intermediate
(IntermediárioII) |
The student will be able to have correct conversation, reading and writing more complicated phrases, contribute effectively to meetings and seminars within his own area of work or keep up a professional conversation with a good degree of fluency, coping with abstract expression. The student will read quickly, understand and prepare professional correspondence, write an essay, and show an ability to communicate. |
Advanced
(Avançado) |
The student will be able to have a fluent conversational level and exchange opinions, in difficult contexts with only some grammatical mistakes. The student also will advice or talk about complex or sensitive issues, understanding colloquial references and dealing confidently with hostile questions; will understand documents, correspondence and reports, with complex texts, and write letters and full notes with good expression and accuracy. |

CELPE-Bras Examination Preparation Course
The CELPE-Bras is the only official and recognized diploma of Portuguese language studies for foreigners. The exam was established by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) in cooperation with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE). It is internationally recognized as proof of competence in the Portuguese language. The test examines written and spoken communication skills in Brazilian Portuguese in different every day situations.
A Qualified native teachers will prepare you for the examination, using all types of texts, radio and TV reports, interviews, and picture material to develop your listening, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing ability. This course focuses on both the written and spoken aspects of the Portuguese language and gives you the means to deal with any situation you might encounter in the CELPE examination.

Classes: 20 lessons per week
Intensive Course
The course prepares you to deal with everyday situations, with lessons that teach grammar, reading and writing. You will learn Portuguese with interactive roll-playing activities, and to complement the lessons you will listen Brazilian music, and you have lessons to practice listening and comprehension, understanding information and discusses even difficult subjects articulately. You enjoy every day of four hours of Portuguese lessons from Monday to Friday, in groups of six students with a personalized teaching and according to the level to satisfy basic needs.

One to One
This course is perfect for who wants to learn quickly and with excellent results, and offers all the advantage of private lessons as they are tailored to meet your special needs and practice specific individual language skills. This program is offered from Monday to Friday with four lessons per day.

One to One Intensive
Like the One to One Course, One to One Intensive is perfect for who wants to learn quickly and with excellent results, and offers all the advantage of private lessons as they are tailored to meet your special needs and practice specific individual language skills. This program is offered from Monday to Friday with six lessons per day.

Super Intensive Courses
Same the other course the super intensive course offers you the possibility to learn more quickly and with the same characteristic of the Intensive course; the course also is teaching from Monday to Friday, but six hour per day, the course is complemented with other activities for that you can learn better the language and practice with native speakers in real situations. In the class you can learn grammar, reading and writing, with interactive activities, with your classmates and your teacher who always will be ready to help you in your difficult and needs.
