Maceio Nightlife
Most of entertainment points in Maceio are located in the former neighborhood of Jaragua at Sá and Albuquerque streets. There, the former port warehouses have been restored and they became bars and nightclubs, where the electronic music is very popular. Sometimes, these bars have authorization to put tables and chairs at the streets, mainly when they are full. The other spot site at night in the city is “Ponta Verde”, where it can find also a great variety of bars and nightclubs.
A nice place is Marquês D'Latravéia, where you can hear all kinds of musical style surround by an agreeable environment. Arena is also a great club mainly on Friday and Saturday, there you can dance the popular forró (a local musical style) with the beautiful local girls (Brazil is famous by its pretty women).
Other good places are Aeroporco and Heaven, two excellent nightclubs; as well as Lekker Coutry, Virguilino club and Oraculo bar, all at Royal Square. These places play rock, pop and good Brazilian music.
The most famous bars of the city like “Barao de Jaragua”, “Casa da Sogra” or “Canyina di Bacco” are located at Sá Street in Jaragua. There you can enjoy a cold beer (the most popular drink in the country); Brazil has several good beer brands like Brahma or Artika, in addition to several foreign brands.
Besides, mainly in summer the city is scenery of nice musical concerts of national musicians. These concerts are a great opportunity to enjoy the festive spirit of the Brazilians and meet nice people.
