Beaches in Maceio


Maceio offers to visitors many paradisiacal beaches, all with crystal clear waters, great climates and amazing natural pools. Some of them are:
Pajuçara
This is one of the most famous beaches in the region. The beach is usually very crowded with tourists and local families; since the waters in this beach are very calm. It is a good feature, mainly if you have children. There are also several natural pools, tents, showers, bicycle tracks and cooper.
Ponta Verde
It is probably the best urban beach of the city; its waters are calm and clear. It is an ideal place to practice sea sports like windsurf or diving. It is also a great place to camping.
Jatiuca
It is a nice beach with green waters and nice waves. It is a excellent place to surfing; therefore, this beach is currently scenery of national championship of surf. This beach owns also a good hospitality infrastructure.

Cruz das Almas
It is other beach with nice waves; because of that, it is natural meeting point to surfers from all Brazil. The beach has also wonderful and dangerous reefs.
Barra de Sao Miguel
It is considered by the majority, as the best beach of the Alagoas state. It is one of the most popular beaches amongst the local people. It is located to 33 Km Maceio and is a cool place to fishing and surfing.
Praia do Gunga
This is a beautiful white sand beach surrounded by coconuts trees. There, it can find several nice natural pools and a great hospitality infrastructure, composed by several hotels, bars and restaurants.
Praia do Frances
Beach of the French is a famous place very near Maceio (21Km). It has warm waters, which vary from clear green to intense blue. There are many beautiful reefs, therefore it is a good place to practice surf, windsurf or jet-ski. Besides, the beach has many bars and restaurants.
