Munich Weather
Munich has a continental weather, strongly modified by the proximity of the Alps; it means it is very warm and wet in the summer with few thunderstorms in the evenings and the most beautiful sunsets, and very cold with light snowfalls in winters so it is strongly recommended to bring warm clothes and umbrella. During the summer the temperature expectations are between 11 ºC and 23 ºC (51 ºF – 74ºF) and below freezing temperatures during winter they can fall down between -4 ºC and 5 ºC (-20 ºF – 37 ºF).
The finest time is between May and September but it can be crowded because of the amount of coming tourists; maybe the best time to visit Munich is the shoulder seasons i.e. April – May and September – October, there are fewer visitors and plenty of sunshine. November to March has below freezing temperatures and sunless skies.
