Weather in Miami


The best time for locals to visit is off-season, May to August. You can get great rates at this time, and the streets and restaurants are quieter. Spring break weeks are the worst time for locals to visit, in March and April. Greater Miami enjoys a subtropical climate that ensures plenty of sunshine all year round. Sun protection is advised, even when temperatures are moderated by cool ocean breezes.
Rainfall occurs mainly during summer and early autumn. Summer humidity levels are usually between 85-90 percent, making Miami one of the most humid cities in the US.
The hottest month in Miami is no surprise, August. However, the lowest recorded temperature in Miami is 30 degrees, which has occurred on many dates. Non doubt here's the good news for visitors. Like any city, we have some precipitation most every month, but the wettest months of the year are June, August and September. The driest months are December, January and February.
