The beautiful beaches of Miami have been recognized as top picks for recreation. Actually they have been ranked among the best beaches. Miami features a diverse selection of beaches, some of them just for people watching and others offer a variety of water sports.

The most of Miami beaches has food and drink concession stands, picnic tables and barbeque grills and shelters, restrooms and shower facilities with lifeguards who patrol the beach all day to ensure safety. Beach chairs, umbrellas, watersports, bicycles and other equipment are available for rent. Furthermore walking and bike trails, volleyball and fishing are available too.


Miami Bal Harbour Beach

Bal Harbour Beach



Bal Harbour Beach is mostly private except for the two public access points. This wide and clean beach, with dunes extending almost south from Haulover Inlet, offers a jogging path, a jetty for fishing and sightseeing. Whether you are a surfer, try to get into the area near to the jetty, but lifeguards are not available. Furthermore you can find a metered parking lot beneath Haulover Bridge. Rules: No bicycles, no alcohol, no pets, no tents, no fires or barbecuing. So you kind of have to sneak in and get a glimpse of how people enjoy of sun and sand.


Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Beach



A scenic beach at the southern tip of Key Biscayne, with walking and bicycle trails winding through native vegetation.


Haulover Beach Park



Haulover, a spacious beach with shady picnic area/ barbecue grills near the dunes, with pedestrian tunnels which link to the park and marina on Biscayne Bay. It is also famous for crystal sand and tropical waves.

Nine-hole golf course, tennis courts, kite flying area and kite shop are in this beautiful area. If you are looking for a nudist beach this is the perfect destiny, whether or not you are pro nudity.


Hobie Beach/Windsurf Beach



Windsurfing beach on secluded inlet has among its features watersports rentals; food/drink concessions and beachside parking are available in this area. Dogs are allowed.


Homestead Bayfront Park



A palm-shaded beach on Biscayne Bay in South Miami Dade County adjoining Biscayne National Park with food and drink concession stands, picnic tables and barbeque grills, shelters and fishing. Restrooms and shower facilities are available in this area.


Crandon Park Beach, Miami

Crandon Park Beach



Crandon Beach Park is named among top 10 beaches in the nation. Its calm water is protected by a shifting offshore sandbar. Guards patrol protects more than two miles of white sand and perfect wave from 13 towers.

The park offers a winding promenade, concession stands, changing rooms, restrooms, outdoor showers, picnic areas with tables and grills, bicycle and walking paths, tennis centre, golf course, marina, volleyball, fishing, and two restaurants. Beach chairs, bicycles and other equipment are available for rent. Surf chairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis, but it helps to call ahead. Crandon Beach is ideal for families. Rules: No glass containers, no pets, no open fires. No admission fee but they must pay to park and there are fees for some amusement centre activities.

Continue on and you will discover the Crandon Park Beach Amusement Centre and the Crandon Park Beach Gardens. With so much to see and do, it is easy to recognize why Crandon Park Beach is such a hotspot.


Miami Beach – Central



A raised boardwalk over the dunes popular for strolling and jogging on walking trails makes of Miami Beach a place to spend time with family and friends on Miami central side.


Miami Beach – North



North Beach is the largest stretch of beach with a very active boardwalk. It is ideal for families, with fine sand and lifeguards who patrol the north side. Jet skis and shaded chairs rentals, food/drink concession stands are available.


South Beach



South Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the country, is great for swimming, wide and clean. Whether you want to experience, you can rent parasailing equipment, kayaks, canoes or bikes, umbrellas and chairs. So a great place to watch cruise ships sailing out to sea.


Sunny Isles Beach

Sunny Isles Beach



Sunny Isles Beach is clean, funny and always full of entertainment as jet skiing, sailing, kayaking and all the equipment you need to enjoy are rentable on the beach. Or, if you wish to relax, you could just lie back on the beach and get the perfect tan. It is a great place for swimming and watersports. There are no food stands or restrooms, but you can easily find them in one of the many hotels lining the beach.


North Shore Open Space Park



Beach borders are shady, and it has walking trails on the sand. Food/drink concession stands serves hot and cold food, beer, cigarettes, popsicles and ice cream.


Oleta River State Park



A sandy beach on Biscayne Bay in a shady park offers many recreational activities. Popular spot with boating and kayaking along nearby Snake River, furthermore sleep over cabins are available.


Virginia Key Beach



Virginia Key Beach, a narrow beautiful beach, is bordered on one side by a dense forest area on the other by a rocky out cropping. Rocks make swimming somewhat dangerous; trees on the beach provide nice shade cover.
