Gozo is a small island but it offers a lot to see and do; it can be a good place for spend great vacations because the charm of the island makes itself apparent as soon as you arrive. The island has a distinctive air of tranquility although the busy market street of its capital and the unloading of the fresh fish caught in the harbours. The island’s landscape is rural with deep valleys and hilltop villages, with a rugged coastline ready to be explored. There are sand and smooth rocky beaches for relaxation and also clear safe waters for swimming.

But the Gozo’s beauty is not only the nature sights; it also has old temples and long history to offer. There are many churches and other religious attractions because it is a deeply religious city. Places to visit include the Gozo Museum where there are historical displays, the Crafts Centre with a selection of local handicrafts and the Citadel Gran Castello for its unparalleled views consists of a restored Norman house cathedral and bastions.

Other Gozo’s attractions are The Gozo Heritage, a series of life-size dioramas depicting the island’s past, the Xlendi Bay on the western coast, the reputed Calypso Cave near red-sand Ramla Bay and other places near Xaghra like Ggantija Temples which are hundred of years older than the Pyramids; and stalactite and stalagmite caves at the Alabaster Caves.
