Wimbledon Championships

The Wimbledon Championships start six weeks before the first Monday in August and lasts approximately a fortnight, until all events are complete. The Lawn Tennis Championships at Wimbledon attracting an attendance of close to 500,000 people. Players from over 60 nations regularly compete in front of a crowd of millions worldwide.
Cannizaro Park Festival

A summer music, theatrical and comedy festival, the Cannizaro Park Festival is one of the London’s major summer attractions and takes place each summer at Cannizaro Park on the edge of Wimbledon Common. It is staged in the Italian walled garden.
The specially constructed open air theatre comprises a stage and auditorium. The festival includes performances of jazz, comedy, classical and pop; artist open studio events and family events.
Chariot Festival

On 15 august of every year a chariot festival takes place, open to the general public in a Buddhist temple.
Black History Month

Black History Month takes place in October each year in the United Kingdom and is a time to promote the understanding of Black heritage, celebrate and raise a awareness of issues. Also the Black History Month aims to disseminate information about positive black contributions to British society. It is celebrated African and Caribbean culture and history with events and workshops. The essence is to recognise and support the cultural heritage and contribution that has been made by the African and Caribbean communities
