Cambridge Galleries are a part of the Cambridge Public Library system with art exhibition spaces at Queen's Square, Preston and the new Design at Riverside location. Together, the three galleries host approximately 23 exhibitions per year reflecting a range of local, regional, provincial, national and international developments in contemporary and historical visual art.

The Queen's Square location is home to a growing collection of contemporary Canadian fibre art as well as being the site of the Public Art Program, an annual outdoor installation of a contemporary work of art.

Together, the Cambridge Galleries, the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery and the Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery are working to develop increased awareness and support for visual arts activity within the region.

Kettles Yard House and Gallery - Cambridge

Kettles Yard House and Gallery

Its collection is composed of paintings, glass, furniture, ceramics and ordinary objects in an intimate “homelike” atmosphere. Kettles Yard is a gift of Jim Edes to Cambridge University. He wanted to create a place where visitors would find a refuge of peace and order, of the visual arts and of the music. Therefore the House differs from an ordinary art gallery, where the house and art are sympathetically integrated.

The Gallery hosts regular musical performances, including chamber music, student lunchtime recitals and modern jazz. Temporary exhibitions reflect 20th century retrospective art and contemporary artwork from around the world. As well, an annual Open Exhibition showcases East England artists. So free lunchtime lectures are also a regular feature at Kettles Yard.

Broughton House Gallery

It is the oldest of the Cambridge commercial galleries of contemporary art, and offers exhibitions of the work of contemporary artists as well as permanent displays and archives of the work of Gwen Raverat. Periodic displays of sculpture in the Walled garden.

Byard Art

Ongoing displays of work by 200 artists, in a range of 2 and 3D disciplines. It includes paintings, prints, sculpture, glass, photography, studio ceramics and designer jewellery.
