Eating in Cambridge
Cambridge offers both food and live music, whether you are looking for music and food in a same place at night. The Middle East is a monolith in the shifting sands of the Boston rock scene. Originally was a simple Lebanese restaurant which opened its doors in 1970, the establishment has grown to offer three different rooms featuring live performance: the "Bakery" where you can find belly dancing and acoustic music, the "Upstairs" which houses an intimate, but edgy rock club, and the larger acts are realized in the "Downstairs". All three rooms are outfitted with bars.
Restaurants in Cambridge serve until 10:00 p.m(or 11:00 p.m on weekend). It is just not a late night dinning town. But for people who just want to see a band or being drinking in one of city's bars, the HiFi Pizza in Central Square is the choice; so Charlie’s kitchen in Harvard Square stays open as late as the bar; Moody’s Falafel Palace in Central Square, if you prefer Middle Eastern food; B-Side, a retro-lounge outside of Kendall Square with contemporary comfort food to accompany their tasty drinks. This is your best bet for a late sit-down meal; The Hong Kong, Chinese restaurant in Harvard Square where the food isn't the greatest, but it's cheap and open until 2am.
Alternatively, if you're not looking to sit down, there are several places around the city to get food even later. In Harvard Square alone, you will find Pinnochio's, which serves fantastic Sicilian-style pizza until 12:30 on weeknights and 2 a.m on weekends; Felipe's, Mexican food which serves surprisingly-good-for-its-price until midnight on weekdays and 2 a.m on weekends ;and Flat Patties, which flips burgers on the same schedule as Felipe's, both owned by the same person.
