Beijing Nightlife

Although it is not quite Shanghai or Hong Kong, there is a revolution in leisure in Beijing; its nightlife and entertainment was increasing through the years. Beijing people are more conservative that other China’s regions; most of them prefer to stay at home so the streets are quite empty since early hours at night.

Hard Rock Cafe
Beijing is not characterized for having a number of chances for debauchery; it offers, instead, a diversity of entertainment venues. A couple of decades ago the nightlife was unknown to many people, but nowadays it is common for people to go out in the evenings and spend time at dance halls, karaoke clubs, bars, cinemas, theatres and nightclubs.

Beijing nightlife
The best venues for nightlife are in the city center, such as the Peking Opera, acrobatics, which were improved respect to some years before, and a number of other worthwhile cultural events like Teahouse Theater where you can experience the famous Chinese tea culture and find a quiet place to relax and maybe do some reading, puppet shows, exotic ballet, live jazz, music concerts, etc. There was a rapidly increasing of foreign theme pubs, new exotic bars, cafes and disco clubs which attracts foreign residents, tourists and locals. Although they don’t quite match Shanghai’s for style, they are generally cheaper and offer something for just about every mood.

Banana club
Some others well known venues for nightlife and entertainment are: Banana, Lounge & Bar Loco, New Bar Street, Hard Rock Café Beijing, Bar Blu, Bed Bar, Beijing Concert Hall, Jazz Ya.
